Christmas & New Year’s Holiday Closures – Trash and Recycling Schedule Changes
In Observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, Mayor Keith R. Sydnor will close City and Passport Offices, December 25, 2023, and January 1, 2024. That means refuse, recycling and composting collections will be adjusted for the weeks of December 25th and January 1st as follows for both Monday holidays:
Christmas Schedule:
Monday's trash, recycling and composting pickups will be on Tuesday, December 26th (residential and commercial).
Tuesday's trash, recycling and composting pickups will be on Wednesday, December 27th (residential only)
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday trash/recycling/composting pickups are unchanged.
There will be no yard debris or bulky item pickups this week.
New Year's Schedule:
Monday’s trash, recycling and composting pickups will be on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 (residential and commercial).
Tuesday’s trash, recycling and composting pickups will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 (residential only).
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday's Trash/Recycling/Composting pickups are unchanged.
There will be no yard debris or bulky item pickups this week.
During January, trees will be collected on WEDNESDAY of each week. Please place your tree wherever you normally place your trash. Residents do NOT need to call in for a collection, but it is recommended.
Our next Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris Pickup will be on Wednesday, January 10th. Please call 301-725-0088 or email DPW@laurel.md.us to schedule your pickup, you can also call if you have any questions about your trash or recycling pickups.
