The permit application fee is $25 and can be paid on the Permit Portal. The fee is due with the submission of the application. This program is available to the residents of the City of Laurel and is a temporary parking permit program administered by the Department of the Fire Marshal and Permit Services to allow residents to park certain oversized vehicles in front of their residence for a pre-determined period of time (several days to six months). Special parking permits are not issued on Snow Emergency Routes between October 31 and April 1. The permit must be displayed on the vehicle and the vehicle can only be parked at the specified location listed on the permit. If the City receives any complaints regarding the parking of this vehicle, the Director, Department of the Fire Marshal and Permit Services will make the final determination as to continue or pull the special parking permit.
