Winter Weather Advisory: Public Works Updates

With snow in the forecast this weekend, please keep the following guidelines in mind to help our Public Works crews clear streets safely and efficiently:

  • Parking & Snow Routes: On snow emergency routes, remember "Odd is OK" for parking. Vehicles obstructing plows on these routes can and will be towed.

  • Waste Collection:

    • Check this website regularly for updates on delayed or cancelled collections.

    • Keep trash and recycling carts out of the street to avoid obstructing plows. And a reminder: bags of trash left on the ground may be tagged with a notice of non-compliance and not collected if it is not in a City-Issued trash or recycling cart.

    • If you have a Bulky Item Pickup scheduled for Wednesday the 28th, do not put items out until the snow has ended; we cannot collect buried items.

  • Shoveling Safely:

    • Sidewalks must be cleared of snow within 12 hours of the snowfall ending.

    • Do not shovel snow back into the street or onto fire hydrants.

  • Road Safety: Give plows and salt trucks plenty of space to operate!

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our community safe and clear!
