Granville Gude Park is a 29-acre park that was dedicated to the City as part of the Laurel Lakes Development in 1984. The Lakehouse was constructed in 1986.

Features

The Park features a lakehouse with a snack bar, two lakes, picnic pavilions, grills, picnic tables, horseshoe pits, a state-of-the-art playground, a boat dock with paddle boat rentals, 1.25 miles of hiker/biker trails, open play areas, and an outdoor stage.

Nearby Lake

In 1900 the City completed a public water supply system from "Cull Lake" (Laurel Lake) as a source. The history of the Lake goes back to the beginnings of Laurel.

Usage

The park hosts many community events, such as the July 4th Celebration, Movies in the Park, Eggstravaganza at Easter, etc.  The picnic pavilions and lakehouse are available for rental to private groups or organizations.

The picnic pavilion is available for rent to private groups or organizations. Due to high demand, it is recommended that a permit be obtained for use of the pavilions and grills.

For information on rentals in this facility see the Facility Rentals page.

Fees

Boat fees are $8 for a half-hour with a $10 deposit. This deposit is refunded upon the proper return of the paddle boat.

There are no admission fees to this park.
