Kids To Parks Day

Celebrate National Kids to Parks Day at the Granville Gude Park. School-aged kids, 12 years of age and under, can take part in a Stride to Ride program.

If your child completes one full lap around the lake path, they will be awarded one free pedal boat pass to use anytime during the Lakehouse hours of operation. The event is free and is sponsored by the Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation.

Date: Saturday May 18, 2024

Time: TBA

Location: Granville Gude Park - 8300 Mulberry Street

Our department is excited about joining the National Park Trust’s #MyParkMyWhy campaign because we are thrilled to share the awesome parks that Laurel has to offer and why we think parks are important for all people to experience. We challenged Mayor Craig A. Moe and the City of Laurel Councilmembers to share their favorite parks. Now they want you to create your video and use the hashtag #MyParkMyWhy and be sure to tag the National Park Trust and Laurel Parks and Recreation.
