Regular City Elections

The City of laurel holds an election every two years on the first Tuesday in November of the odd year. The Mayor serves a four-year term and the City Council serves a two-year term. The next General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

Voting in City Elections

Every person registered with the Prince George's County Board of Election Supervisors and is a resident of the City of Laurel is eligible to vote in all city elections.

You can register to vote at the State Board of Elections or the Prince George's County Board of Elections.

Absentee Ballot

You can vote by absentee ballot. Contact the Board of Election Supervisors to request an application for an absentee ballot or call the Clerk to the Board of Elections.

Early Voting

Early Voting will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 8 am to 5 pm at the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, Laurel.
