Safe and Drug-Free School Program
Laurel Helping Hands partners with the Prince George's County Public School System's Safe and Drug-Free Schools Program by providing alcohol/substance abuse assessment sessions for students who are suspended from school for substance use, possession of paraphernalia, possession of substances, etc.
School Outreach
Laurel Helping Hands provides school-based services to Prince George's County Public Schools within the City during the school year to give students an opportunity to acquire such skills as problem-solving, anger management, decision-making, etc.
Laurel Helping Hands is committed to being a strong school partner. The staff participates in school-related activities (i.e., Back to School Night) to share valuable information and community resources regarding substance use prevention and mental health promotion with students, parents, and guardians.
