THEFT’S

01/07/12 Unit Block Second Street
Failure to pay a hotel bill. Suspect fled without paying for the hotel room that the suspect had since October of 2011. Laurel Police Have obtained a warrant charging the suspect with theft.

01/07/12 14000 Block Justin Way
Purse stolen from a parked SUV truck.

01/09/12 14100 Block Runabout Court
Generator, red in color stolen from a parked van. Laurel Police attempted to stop two suspects in a white Honda who were observed breaking into the van. The suspects fled and police gave chase. The Honda was reported stolen from Prince George’s County. Police ended the chase when suspects entered Old Bowie and officers lost sight. 

01/09/12 14800 Block Baltimore Avenue
New York leather football jacket, CD’s and Medication stolen from a parked car.

01/11/12 14800 Block Fourth Street
Tire and rim stolen from a parked car.

01/11/12 14100 Block Baltimore Avenue
Theft of headphones from Best Buy.  The suspect attempted to leave the store but was apprehended by store security. A 21 year old Laurel man was arrested and released on criminal citation pending the court date.

STOLEN AUTO’S

01/10/12 Unit Block Second Street
2011 Toyota Camry, 4 door, Gray in color with New York tags FDL 9058. Car was rented and never returned. A warrant is being obtained for the suspect.

BURGLARIES

01/09/1  700 Block Gorman Avenue
Entry gained into a shed by forcing open the door. Taken was a metal cable/conduit and electrical wiring. 

01/11/12 200 Block Ninth Street
Laurel Police Officer while on routine patrol observed a riding lawnmower tractor and snow blower outside near a building, the officer knew theses items were stolen from a burglary at St. Marks Methodist Church on January 8, 2012. The officer contacted the church and all stolen items were returned.
