Exciting teen trips are offered to area teens, ages 12-17! 

All trips are on a first come, first serve basis and are subject to change or cancellation due to insufficient registration. Pre-registration is MANDATORY. The parent MUST register their own teen in the system if they already are not in the system. Once in the system, it is in there for life and you can register online anytime and anywhere.  Registration and payment for all programs/trips can be processed at any City of Laurel facility during regular business hours or online. You can register for all of our programs at the Laurel Armory, Robert J. Di Pietro Community Center or City Hall. Registration is accepted on a first come, first served basis. Refunds are only issued if a program/trip is cancelled. Registration and monies will not be taken on the day of the trip. Trip costs include transportation and admission unless stated otherwise. Parental permission slips are required for all trips. All trips leave from Robert J DiPietro Community Center, 7901 Cypress Street, Laurel MD 20707.

Maryland Renaissance
Festival

Travel back to the days of King Henry VIII and experience village life filled with entertaining characters walking about. You are even welcome to wear a costume of the time period. Enjoy the colorful pageantry, performances, games, entertainment and scrumptious offerings of food (on your own). Watch the jousters on horseback, the jugglers, and acrobats; maybe eat a turkey leg! Men’s Soccer Game

Great Falls National Park

Explore Great Falls National Park along the Potomac River. Maryland public schools are closed, so let’s enjoy both the relaxation and the adventure of walking the C & O Canal path and the excitement of climbing the smaller cliffs. View the magnificent waterfalls! Take pictures of the spectacular autumn scenery. Take your own lunch for a picnic.

Laurel’s House of Horror & Escape Room

A haunted complex built inside an abandoned movie theater, presents Escape the Movies, American Horror Stories, Race Against Jigsaw, and The Rising Dead as their escape rooms. Think you can escape? Let’s find out! When we escape, we will also go through the haunted house. We leave at 5pm to grab dinner at Chick-Fil-A, and then we head to Laurel’s House of Horror. Return approximately 9 pm. For both the Escape Room AND Haunted House!

National Harbor

Schools out, so let’s explore the National Harbor on the Potomac. Sightsee and shop at the array of quality stores. Have lunch (on your own) at any of the top restaurants featuring foods from around the world. Riding the gigantic, glass-enclosed climate-controlled Capital Ferris Wheel featuring breathtaking views overlooking the city is also an option ($15) Check out the majestic Gaylord Convention Center with its atrium and beautiful furnishings and landscaping.

National Christmas Tree & Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe

The National Christmas Tree along with over 50 mini State-decorated trees and other holiday displays-located on the Ellipse behind the White House.
