The Division of Senior Services, operated by the Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation, serves senior adults 55 years of age or older.  

Senior adult programs and classes are scheduled at various locations in Laurel.  These include the Greenview Drive Cabana, Laurel Armory Anderson & Murphy Community Center, the Robert J. DiPietro Community Center, the Laurel Municipal Pool, and Partnership Activity Hall.  The programs and services provided by the department include recreational activities, educational classes, health related programs and transportation services. 

Day trips are offered to local malls and points of interest in the Washington/Baltimore and Virginia/Pennsylvania areas. The City of Laurel Senior Van Service provides curb to curb service within the City of Laurel. Monday through Friday by appointment and requires a $30 annual registration fee.  The Division of Senior Services provides a monthly calendar of classes, trips and events.  The Transportation Application is below to download, if you are not in our system already you must come in to fill out a Family Account Information sheet.

The City of Laurel Senior Van Service follows Prince George’s County School closings and delays when it comes to inclement weather. If Prince George’s County Schools are closed our transportation service will not operate. If there is a one hour delay the van service will begin at 10:00 a.m.  and if there is a two hour delay the service will only pick up appointments after 11:00 a.m. If your appointment falls during the closing time it is cancelled.
