The Laurel Fourth of July Committee works hard year round to bring you the best Independence Day Celebration in the area! There are many fun events through out the day from Field Events to the end of the day's fireworks.

Is your pup best in show? Join us at the Annual Dog Show, Sunday September 17, to find out if your dog takes home the blue ribbon in one of the many fun events. $5 entry fee per dog. Payment is made the day of the event. Registration 10:00 am-11:00am, events will start at 11:00am. All dogs must have current vaccinations.
On Friday, June 9th starting at 6:30, this event is presented by the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Laurel Police Department, elementary aged kids can decorate their bikes and scooters inside the Laurel Armory and then join in the parade on Montgomery Street. Decorations will be provided and an ice cream social will follow the parade.
Bring your canine and enjoy a refreshing swim at the end of the “Dog Days Of Summer”. Saturday, September 9, 12 noon-3:00pm at Laurel Municipal Pool. Main and wading pools only will be open for pet/owner swimming! Owners must be able to restrain pet. $5.00 per dog. If you have a membership to the dog park, enjoy the event for free with presentation of current membership card (limit 2 dogs per pass). Free to owners!
Check back for the 2018 date!! This event is Co-sponsored by the Laurel Lions Club. Children up to 12 can take part in age group egg hunts. Please arrive before the hunts begin. Friday Nights throughout the summer, come on out to Granville Gude Park and enjoy a movie or a concert for the whole family. Bring a blanket or a chair, pack a picnic or grab something at our concession stand (movies only) and relax for some great lakeside entertainment!
Join us Friday, November 3 for a brisk autumn Hayride. Drinks, snacks and entertainment will be held around a roaring bonfire. Pre-registered groups of 10 or more are welcome at a discounted rate. kids under 2 years old ride free. The hayride will originate in the parking lot at the corner of Route 1 and Main Street.

Celebrate the season with the annual holiday parade from the Municipal Center down Montgomery Street to the Laurel Armory where special guests Santa and friends will be on hand for picture opportunities. Don't miss musical entertainment while you await the lighting of the Armory Community Center.
Check back for the 2018 info for the opening weekend of our boating operations. Games, food, entertainers, hayrides, moonbounce, dance demos, D.J., balloons, Police demos and special guest costume characters will round out the day!
Visitors from close and far enjoy a day of entertainment, food, vendors, music and activities. Laurel is proud of its small town roots and close knit community, which is evidenced by the Main Street Festival.
Any school aged child 12 and under who completes a full lap around the Granville Gude Lake path on May 20, during Lakehouse operating hours will receive one free boating pass to use any time during the current season. Register at the Lakehouse concession window. Boating rules and regulation apply.
Enjoy a Movie and a concert for the whole family. Bring a blanket or a chair, and some food, and relax for some great entertainment! Lauren and Rusty -Musical Duo concert is Friday, September 8, 6:00 pm-8:00pm. MIDDLE SCHOOL THE WORST YEARS OF MY LIFE is Friday, September 15 at Dusk.
This family event features Renaissance artisans, hay rides, great food, games for the kids and multiple stages where everything from live new music, spoken word and theater will take place. In addition to the stages the Laurel Museum will have pie eating contests and apple carving to name a few.
