FoamStream Demonstration - June 9, 2022
Laurel's Department of Parks and Recreation held a demonstration for the Mayor, City Council and public on Thursday, June 9th.
At this demo, they learned of a new organic tool in the City's toolbox that keeps chemicals out of Laurel’s ecosystem, all the while killing unsightly overgrowth in our garden beds.
The City of Laurel is the first municipality in Maryland to start using the FoamStream system that is an eco-friendly, cost-effective product that checks off all the boxes for sustainability.
FoamStream originated in the United Kingdom and it uses 99.5% water and .5% plant oil and sugars to get rid of weeds. But how does it kill weeds? The active ingredient is HEAT. The system heats up to a temperature of 180 degrees.
This product is safe for use around people, pets and water.
