With both Christmas Day and New Years Day being Federal holidays, Mayor Craig A. Moe has announced that City and Passport Offices will be closed for these holidays.  The City and Passport Offices will be closing early at 1 PM on Thursday, December 24th and be closed all day on Friday, December 25 and Friday, January 1.  The Department of Public Works will be on an adjusted pickup schedule for these two weeks:

For both weeks:

  • There will be no changes to Monday-Thursday Commercial and Residential pickups (Trash, Recycling and Compost). 
  • Friday Recycling and Refuse (both commercial and residential) will be picked up on Thursday.
  • There will be no Bulky Trash or Yard Debris collections on Wednesday, December the 23rd. 

If there are any issues with the Thursday pickups, such as a missed pickup, residents must contact DPW before 12:00pm (noon) to make sure the issue can be resolved before the early closing at 1:00 pm.

Public Works' next scheduled Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris collection will be on Wednesday, December 30th followed by Wednesday, January 6th.
