Stop the presses! The City's Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event is back!
Mayor Moe is pleased to announce the return of the Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding event this fall. Gather up your old documents and electronics and come down to Public Works, 305-307 First Street, on Saturday, October 17, 2020, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Coronavirus Precautions Will be in Effect
The event will be run differently from years past due to COVID19. Residents must:
- Stay in their vehicles,
- Wear masks,
- Have ID ready,
- Put items for shredding and drop off in the trunks of their cars (where possible).
All vehicles must enter through the First Street entrance like years past, however only one car at a time will be allowed in the yard. We are expecting lines and waits, so please show up early! Our laborers will remove the items from the trunks of your car for this event.
Avoid the Lines!
We are expecting long lines and long waits for this event. If you only have electronics for drop-off, schedule a Bulky Pickup for October 21st instead!
The City will waive the extra charges for electronics on October 21st bulky item pickup. There will still be the $10 base fee for the pickup which covers most other small household items you might want to put out.
