The City of Laurel is now offering compost to give back to our pilot program participants!  We have the Leafgro Gold Organic Compost from Maryland Environmental services available now.  Residents who have signed up for the pilot Organics Recycling and Composting program can stop by the Public Works Building at 305 First Street during our normal business hours (8 AM to 4 PM) to pick up their free composting.  Pilot participants will need to bring their own container to transport their compost home with them.  We will have employees available to assist you with loading your compost. Compost will only be available this week, so be sure to stop by!  After this week we will be using the leftover compost on the trees along Main Street and other green areas in the City.

This compost is only available to participants of the Organics Recycling pilot program.  If you're interested in joining the Organics Reycling pilot program please email the Department of Public Works ([email protected]) or call us (301-725-0088) to sign up!  Spaces are limited and only a few are still available.
