Stop the presses! The City's Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event is back!
Mayor Moe is pleased to announce the semi-annual Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding event is returning again this fall. Gather up your old documents and electronics and come down to Public Works, 305-307 First Street, on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
This event is for City residents and City businesses only. You must show proof of City residency, or be able to confirm your Laurel business address (mail or business card) to participate. Please be sure to check that your address is within the city limits. Not every location in "Laurel, Maryland" is within the city boundaries. Montpelier, South Laurel, West Laurel, Maryland City, all areas of Laurel in Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Montgomery County are not in the City limits. Please be sure to check your address in advance! Electronic Recyclables Includes: Electronic devices that are used for entertainment media such as movies, music, video games and their accessories. We will be accepting computer monitors, CPUs, CD/DVD/VCR players, radios, printers, keyboards, televisions, stereos, speakers, game stations, AC adaptors and other similar items. If it plays music, video, video games, or an accessory to something that does - it counts! Things such as microwaves, vacuum cleaners, blenders, toaster ovens and other electrical items that may have a digitial display are not considered electronics for this event.
Chesapeake Paper Systems will be on site with their shredding truck to shred your documents safely. You can drop your documents off or stand by and watch them get put into the shredder!
