If you have questions about how City of Laurel Government operates, our Laurel Citizens University is just for you.

This program was created to help residents and business owners familiarize themselves with the purpose, process and structure of their local government.

Participants will enjoy eight sessions led by knowledgeable staff  about everything from City finances, operations, projects and services to a tour of the Laurel TV Studios and help joining our online, Social Media community.

Here’s the schedule for the classes which will be held at the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, Laurel, MD 20707 from 6pm to 8 pm:

Registration is limited to 20 participants, with selection made on a first-come, first-serve basis for any City of Laurel resident or business owner 18 years of age or older. Participants may not currently hold a position as an elected official or seek office during the duration of the program.

Sessions are free and includes all course materials, a graduation ceremony, a class photo and a diploma upon completion.
