It’s a winning streak Laurel Mayor Craig A. Moe hopes to continue for years to come.
For the 16th straight year, the City of Laurel has been named a Banner City by the Maryland Municipal League.
Banner City designations are awarded for showcasing municipal government and how it works, educating youth about municipal government, taking part in Maryland Municipal League programs and activities, and making sure resident’s voices are heard on key issues that concern them.
Mayor Moe has some key initiatives in place that have helped the city earn the Banner City designation to include City Hall in the Park and the My Time with the Mayor program.
City leaders accepted the Banner City award at the MML Summer Convention in Ocean City.
