Mark your calendars for one of the premiere Laurel Parks and Recreation events!

Mayor Craig A. Moe invites families to come out to experience the highly popular Touch-A-Truck event on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Emancipation Park from 6:30 – 8:00pm.

Laurel Parks and Recreation is working in conjunction with the PGCMLS Laurel Library Branch to host this exciting event to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month!

Vehicles will be lined up along 8th street, so bring your kids, and those young at heart, to not only see, but also touch and get inside, all types of equipment from fire engines to construction equipment!

To accommodate all these wonderful super-sized pieces of equipment, the City will be closing down 8th Street from West Street to Laurel Avenue starting at 4:00pm until 8:00pm that evening. Please find alternate routes to get you through this part of the city the afternoon and evening of July 26th. However, access for all Emergency vehicles will be maintained during this closure.

To learn more about this, call Laurel Parks and Recreation at 301-725-7800 or visit our website at www.cityoflaurel.org/parks.
