With April showers bringing all the lovely May flowers, it’s time once again for the Golden Shovel Award!
Mayor Craig A. Moe is looking forward to handing out the award for the 2021 season that runs April through September. The program recognizes residents in the City of Laurel for their beautification efforts.
Nominations may be submitted through the City of Laurel website, which can be found here: http://bit.ly/LaurelGoldenShovelAward.
The following information for who you are nominating should be provided:
- Name
- Phone number
- Address
- Email address of property owner/tenant and
- Description of improvements made to the property.
In case the judges have any questions, we ask that the person who is making the nomination provide their name, phone number and email address. Why not snap a photo of the property as well because you can upload a picture of the property being nominated!
Judging takes place the third week of each month of April – September, with award presentations the following week. This award is only open to residential properties within the City limits of Laurel.
