Mayor Craig A. Moe and the Laurel Board of Trade have agreed that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and in compliance with Executive Orders and CDC guidelines prohibiting gatherings of more than 50 people, the following events are cancelled:

  • May 1 – Lakefest - sponsored by the City of Laurel
  • May 8 – Main Street Festival - sponsored by the Laurel Board of Trade

Mayor Moe is hopeful that if everyone continues to be patient and vigilant by washing your hands, wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and getting vaccinated, that we can once again enjoy our favorite traditions, with the possibility of a modified Main Street Festival in the fall.

In the meantime, please continue to stay up to date on COVID-19 guidelines by visiting the City’s  Coronavirus Response Hub at https://coronavirus.cityoflaurel.org/, the CDC at www.CDC.gov and the Maryland Department of Health at www.health.maryland.gov.
