With the arrival of Spring, Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that the City of Laurel was awarded a $50,000 Community Legacy Grant from Maryland’s Department of Housing and Community Development for improvements to the Farmer’s Market Lot on Main Street.

Once the funds are received, Laurel’s Department of Economic and Community Development (ECD), along with the Community Redevelopment Authority that owns the land and worked with ECD to acquire the grant, will use the funds to improve the lot at 378 Main Street with a shade structure and picnic tables.

We look forward to building up this popular area for future endeavors that can be enjoyed by the Laurel Community!
