If you manage a local youth organization, the Department of Laurel Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for their Spring Youth Services Commission Grants until February 28, 2021. Grants will be awarded April 15, 2021.

Laurel Mayor Craig A. Moe and the Laurel City Council created the commission to identify, monitor and evaluate youth services, programs, and activities offered in the City of Laurel and surrounding area. It serves as an advisory body to the City of Laurel representing the current needs and issues of the City's Youth.

The Commission will provide limited financial support to those qualifying youth organizations that are not for profit and serve the Laurel area communities with at least 10% of the participants living in the City of Laurel.

To apply for a grant, please visit the home page of the City’s website, www.cityoflaurel.org, and there is a link that will explain the requirements of the grant program as well as a link to the application.

For more information, please call Laurel’s Department of Parks and Recreation at 301-725-7800.
