Mayor Craig A. Moe and City Council President Keith Sydnor invite the public to attend the annual placing of the Remembrance Wreath at the City of Laurel’s Memorial Garden outside the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 4:00pm.

Council President Sydnor will begin the program with a few words about the importance of this event, followed by comments from other Councilmembers.

We ask that you join us, along with your neighbors, as we place the wreath and honor Dr. King for his dedication to working for equality for African Americans, as well as peace in the world.

And a reminder that although City and Passport Offices will be closed on January 20, 2020, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we invite you to participate in the City’s annual Day of Service!

This year we will provide service and appreciation to the City of Laurel Senior Citizens! The Day of Service will start at 11:00am at the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, then we invite you to head over to the Laurel Lakes Senior Apartments at 7901 Laurel Lakes Court.

If you would like to take part in the Day of Service, call 301-725-5300 ext. 2110. Any students planning to use this day towards school service hours, please remember to bring the school paperwork.
