Mayor Craig A. Moe encourages everyone to help us celebrate 150 years of incorporation in 2020!

At the beginning of each month, we will send out a public service announcement letting you know what events will be happening that month!

In January 2020:

  • The Mayor and City Council of Laurel will kick off the City’s 150th Anniversary Celebration at their first meeting of the year on January 13th at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers of the Laurel Municipal Center at 8103 Sandy Spring Road.
  • At the meeting, the 150th Committee will reveal the celebration’s theme and highlight some of the year’s events. These will include the Laurel Museum’s 150th Exhibit Opening, a Scavenger Hunt, Time Capsule Opening, 150th Anniversary Gala, A Day at the Races, Laurel Anniversary Run/Walk, Celebrate Laurel Today: A Multicultural Celebration and many others!
  • In addition, be one of the first to get the Anniversary Passport that will guide you through the year, so you can receive as many stamps as possible to be eligible for a drawing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in different age categories at the end of the year!

Stay in the know for what’s happening in 2020 by visiting the 150th Anniversary website at 150.CityofLaurel.org.
