Mayor Craig A. Moe and the Laurel City Council hope everyone is having an enjoyable Holiday season!

Mayor Moe has announced that City and Passport Offices will be closed Wednesday, January 1, 2020, for New Year’s Day.

The residential recycling and refuse collections will be adjusted for that week as follows:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday’s Trash and Recycling pickups are unchanged.
  • Wednesday’s Trash, Recycling and Composting pickups will be on Thursday (residential and commercial).
  • There will be no Bulky Item or Yard Debris pick-ups this week.

The next scheduled Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris collection will be on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris Pickup by either e-mailing [email protected], using your MyLaurel App or calling the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088.

Once the holidays are over, get ready to recycle your Christmas trees, because Public Works will begin their Tree collections on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.

Thank you for your cooperation and we wish you a safe and happy New Year!
