November turns our thoughts to the holiday season and it kicks off with Thanksgiving and spending time with family.

Mayor Craig A. Moe has announced that City and Passport Offices will be closed on November 28 and November 29, 2019, in observance of the holiday, so that City employees can be with their families.

The adjustment to the trash and recycling collections for the holiday week are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Residential and Commercial Trash, Recycling and Composting pickups are unchanged.
Thursday and Friday Residential and Commercial Trash collections are CANCELLED.
•  For Thursday and Friday Residential and Commercial Recycling pickups, Public Works will shift collection for Recycling for both days to Wednesday, November 27, 2019. So if your regular recycling collection day is on Thursday or Friday, PLEASE BE SURE TO PUT RECYCLING OUT ON WEDNESDAY, November 27th, instead!
• If your regular Trash collection day is on Thursday or Friday, PLEASE PUT YOUR TRASH OUT ON MONDAY, December 2, 2019.

The Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris collection the week of Thanksgiving will be cancelled and will resume the following week on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.

You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris Pickup by either e-mailing Public Works at [email protected], submitting your request through the MyLaurel App or calling the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088.

Thank you for your cooperation and we wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
