Laurel Mayor Craig A. Moe invites all local youth organizations to apply for the Fall Youth Services Commission Grants. Laurel Parks and Recreation will be accepting applications until October 31, 2019. Grants will be awarded on December 15, 2019.

The grants provide limited financial support to those qualifying youth organizations that are not-for-profit and serve the Laurel-area communities with at least 10% of the participants living in the City of Laurel.

Mayor Moe and the Laurel City Council created the Commission to identify, monitor and evaluate youth services, programs, and activities offered in the City of Laurel and surrounding area. The success of the program has been a source of satisfaction for the City and multiple grants have been issued since the Commission was formed in 2014. We look forward to all of our local youth organizations taking advantage of this great service.

To apply for a grant, please visit the home page of the City’s website,, and there is a link that will explain the requirements of the grant program, as well as a link to the application.

If you would like more information, please call Jennifer Carmen in Parks and Recreation at 301-725-7800.
