Those visiting WSSC’s Duckett and Triadelphia Reservoirs should be advised:

  • Water contact is not recommended. Rinse off immediately with clean water, if contact is made with reservoir water.
  • Do not allow pets to swim in or drink the water (prohibited at all times by WSSC watershed regulations).
  • Do not consume fish livers or digestive organs from fish caught in the reservoirs. Also, wash fillets thoroughly with drinking water.

Permit-holders are still able to use the picnic areas and hike on designated trails.

We are recommending that, in the event that you, someone you know or a pet has contacted or ingested water at either reservoir, please contact your local Health Department.

Be aware that this does NOT affect the drinking water.
