Mayor Craig A. Moe and the Laurel City Council want residents to know if you are a first responder living AND serving in the incorporated City limits of Laurel, act fast to take advantage of our Public Safety Officer real property tax credit.  Ordinance No.1928 was adopted on January 10, 2018, providing the opportunity for a tax credit for Public Safety Officers, professional or volunteer, serving an agency within the City of Laurel corporate limits. New applications and verifications for renewals will be accepted at the Laurel Municipal Center in the Department of Budget and Personnel Services until August 30, 2019.

To apply for the tax credit, please visit the home page of the City’s website, cityoflaurel.org. There is a link that will explain the application process, as well as a link to the application. Tax credits will be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis depending upon available funding.
