Laurel Police are currently experiencing problems when residents try to call the Department via cell phone.

The problem is specific to Verizon wireless service. When a call comes from a Verizon mobile phone, you will get the message that “all circuits are busy.”

The numbers currently not working properly are:

  • Non-Emergency – 301-498-0092
  • Emergency – 301-725-3000

Mayor Craig A. Moe is advising residents who are using Verizon mobile devices to use the following numbers to contact the Laurel Police Department:

  • Non-Emergency calls dial 301-725-5300
  • Use 911 for Emergency calls.

Officials are working to correct the issue. As soon as all repairs are completed the public will be notified.
