Veterans have given so much to this Country and every year we have a day to honor them. This year Veterans Day will fall on Monday, November 12, 2018, and Mayor Craig A. Moe wishes to remind you that City and Passport Offices will be closed in observance of the holiday.

The Department of Public Works will be picking up trash and recycling on an altered schedule that week:

  • Monday, November 12th Trash and Recycling: picked up Tuesday, November 13th.
  • Tuesday, November 13th Trash and Recycling: picked up Wednesday, November 14th.
  • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Trash and Recycling pickups are unchanged.

There will also be no Residential Special Pickup or Yard Debris collection that week. Our next scheduled Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris collection will be on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris Pickup by e-mailing [email protected], using the MyLaurel App or calling the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088.

Public Works will also suspend leaf collection with their vacuum on Monday, November 12, 2018. If your regular leaf vacuum day is Monday, the vacuum will return on the following week, November 19, 2018.

Thank you for your cooperation and please have a safe and happy holiday.
