If you are a first responder living AND serving in the city limits of Laurel, act fast to take advantage of a new tax credit!

Mayor Craig A. Moe and the Laurel City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1928 on January 10, 2018, creating a Public Safety Officer real property tax credit.

This real property tax credit is for Public Safety Officers, career or volunteer, serving an agency within the City of Laurel corporate limits.  Applications will be accepted at the Laurel Municipal Center in the Department of Budget and Personnel Services until August 31, 2018.

To apply for the tax credit, please visit the home page of the City’s website, cityoflaurel.org. There is a link that will explain the application process, as well as a link to the application. Tax credits will be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis depending upon available funding.
