Mayor Craig A. Moe is thrilled to announce that the City of Laurel is celebrating its selection as a Tree City USA for the 25th straight year!

The City achieved the Tree City designation every year by following these four criteria: have a tree board or department, have a tree care ordinance, create an annual community forestry budget and hold an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.

This is a nationwide honor given to communities that demonstrate a commitment to caring for and managing its public trees.

Mayor Moe invites you to participate in the City of Laurel Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 10:00am in Emancipation Park on Eighth Street where two Yellowwood Trees will be planted. The City will also be awarded a presentation from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
