Laurel Police Officers responded to a call for a drug complaint at a Laurel hotel at 7:56 a.m.on January 11, 2018.

 

Officers and Detectives on the scene discovered three juvenile females who they believed were being trafficked for the purpose of prostitution.

 

The girls, ages 15, 16 and 17 were transported to the Laurel Police Department.

Child Protective Services was called and took custody of the three teenagers.

 

Through an extensive investigation that included the assistance of outside agencies, Laurel Detectives were able to positively identify 25 year old Sean Dean and 28 year old Gerald Dawayne Marshall, both of Baltimore, as the individuals responsible for the human trafficking of the juveniles. 

 

 Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Dean and Marshall for three counts of Human Trafficking and two counts of Prostitution- under 16.

 

With assistance from other agencies, Laurel Police arrested Dean and Marshall on February 6, 2018.  They were transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections. Dean is being held without bond and Marshall is waiting for a bond review.
