With Columbus Day being a Federal holiday, Mayor Craig A. Moe has announced that City and Passport Offices will be closed for the holiday on Monday, October 9, 2017.

Monday’s refuse and recyclables will be collected on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, Tuesday’s refuse and recyclables will be collected on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, and there will be no change to Wednesday’s commercial refuse collection or Wednesday’s recycling collection.

There will also be no Residential Special Pickup or Yard Debris collection that week. Public Works next scheduled Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris collection will be on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris Pickup by e-mailing [email protected], using the MyLaurel App or calling the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088.

Be aware that due to the Columbus Day holiday, the Mayor and City Council have moved that Monday meeting to Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at 7:00pm at the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road. Agenda items may be found on the City’s web site at
