Released on September 7, 2017 - 3:15pm

The 2017 theme for National Preparedness Month is “Disasters Don’t Plan. You Can!”

To help further this message, plan on attending the Laurel Police Department’s Community Emergency Preparedness event on September 19, 2017, from 6 - 9pm at Laurel Lakes!

Mayor Craig A. Moe and Laurel Police Chief Richard McLaughlin invite residents and businesses to enjoy demonstrations from the Laurel Police Department, the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Prince George’s County Fire Department’s Bomb Squad, along with lots of games and food!

Most importantly, you’ll go home with valuable information to help you plan to be prepared and protect your family in an emergency! For more information, please contact Lt. Erik Lynn at the Laurel Police Department at 301-498-0092 or email Lt. Lynn at [email protected].
