Released on April 13, 2017 - 6:07pm

Just in time for the Casting with Cops event on April 22, 2017, Mayor Craig A. Moe and the City of Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation are happy to announce that the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has once again stocked both the Patuxent River and Laurel Lakes as part of their Spring 2017 Trout Stocking Schedule.

Since there were 1,400 trout added to the Patuxent River in Laurel and 700 trout to Laurel Lakes at Granville Gude Park, there should be plenty for all of our budding fishermen!

Anyone over the age of 16, wanting to fish in those locations, will need a fishing license.

For more information on fishing license requirements, check out the Department of Natural Resources web site dnr.maryland.gov.
