The birds are singing and the bees are buzzing, which means the trees are blooming! How fitting with Arbor Day right around the corner!

Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that the City of Laurel is celebrating its selection as a Tree City USA for the 24th straight year. This is a nationwide honor given to communities that demonstrate a commitment to caring for and managing its public trees.

The public is invited to join Mayor Moe for an Arbor Day tree planting ceremony and award presentation from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

It will take place on April 27, 2017 at Ivy Hill Cemetery located across from the Laurel Municipal Center off of Sandy Spring Road starting at 10am.
