Mayor Craig Moe has announced that the City of Laurel will be participating in a holiday food drive to benefit Laurel Advocacy and Referral Service. Non perishable food can be dropped off at city facilities until December 21st. Food drop off locations are the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, Phelps Senior Center, 701 Montgomery Street, Laurel Armory Anderson-Murphy Community Center, 422 Montgomery Street, Laurel Police Department, 350 Municipal Square, Public Works Facility, 305 First Street, and the Laurel Community Center, 7901 Cypress Street. Mayor Moe asks that citizens consider contributing to this worthy cause to support the LARS program and to assist those in need.
