Mayor Craig A. Moe and Chief David M. Crawford are proud to announce the reinstitution of the Night Walker Program. This initiative involves Laurel Police Officers making random checks of vehicles parked in neighborhoods during evening and early morning hours. During these checks officers are looking for the following: unsecured vehicles, valuables plainly visible e.g., GPS systems; IPODS, and laptop computers.

The officers then leave warning pamphlets notifying the vehicle owners of what was found. This program has been conducted for the last month and has received numerous accolades from the Citizens of Laurel.
