Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that phase II of the Main Street Tree project will begin on September 15, 2008. This phase will replace approximately 31 trees that are either in poor condition or have been removed from the tree wells. The species being planted will be similar to the first phase and feature a variety of Red Maple, Lilac, and Sargent Cherry trees. The landscape firm, Outside Unlimited Inc. will supply and plant the trees and the project will be monitored by the Department of Public Works and the Department of Parks and Recreation, in cooperation with the Tree Board. It is anticipated that the project will take approximately two weeks. Mayor Moe wants the citizens to know that there may be some inconvenience during the planting phase for Main Street travelers, but that everyone should enjoy the completed project.
