Mayor Craig A. Moe has declared the entire month of October in the City of Laurel as Fire Prevention Month.

Below, please find some helpful safety tips regarding Carbon Monoxide:

1. Install Carbon Monoxide Detectors (make sure they are approved by a recognized laboratory) inside your home to provide warning of accumulating Carbon Monoxide. Carbon Monoxide Detectors should be installed in a central location outside of each sleeping area.
2. Test your Carbon Monoxide Detectors and Smoke Alarms at least once a month.
3. Be sure to replace Carbon Monoxide Detectors based on manufacturer
