Mayor Moe would like to announce that a
Special work session will be held on Monday, June 8th at 6:30 p.m. in
the Council Chambers of the Laurel Municipal Center.

The purpose of the work session is to receive an update from the Sage
Group of Baltimore on housing studies related to the BRAC actions at
Fort Meade. The housing analysis is being conducted through the funding
of the Office of Economic Adjustment at the Pentagon.

The housing study is one of three that was funded for the original core
partners of the Fort George G. Meade Regional Growth Management
Committee, being Anne Arundel and Howard counties, and the City of
Laurel.

The other two study projects involve near-term intersection studies, as well as an analysis of transit/ridesharing programs.

As an active Meade BRAC partner, Mayor Moe would welcome the public to
attend the briefing, which will occur just before the regular meeting
of the Mayor and City Council that evening.
