Mayor Craig A. Moe and Laurel Police
Chief Dave Crawford invite the community to the City of Laurel’s
National Night Out, which will be held on Tuesday, August 4 from 6:00
p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Laurel Lakes Gude Park.

National Night Out is a nation-wide event that is designed to heighten
community awareness of crime and drug prevention, generate support for,
and participation in, local anti-crime programs, strengthen
neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a
message to criminals that neighborhoods are united and organized in
their crime-fighting efforts. Residents are encouraged to turn on their
porch lights to show support for this event and to show the criminal
element that they are ready and willing to protect their neighborhoods.

The City of Laurel’s National Night Out will include free food and
activities for all age groups with static displays and demonstrations
from the Laurel Police Department’s Emergency Response Team and K-9
Unit, in addition to other organizations from the Laurel area.

Mayor Craig Moe and Laurel Police Chief Dave Crawford would like
to thank all participants for helping to make this event an informative
and fun evening for all who will attend. For more information, please
contact PFC. Theresa Kelliher, Community Policing, at 301-498-0092 ext.
