The Laurel Police are investigating a
report of suspicious activity in 300 block Thomas Drive in the City of
Laurel. Three juveniles ages 7, 8 and 9 were playing outside of an
apartment building when two Hispanic males, who were in a parked truck
next to the area where the juveniles were playing, began yelling to the
juveniles to come closer to their truck, saying ”we are about the same
age as you - don’t be afraid, come closer”. The juveniles started to
walk towards the truck when the parent of one of the juveniles noticed
the activity and got the attention of the juveniles, two of whom ran to
her and the third juvenile ran from Thomas Drive to Fairlawn Avenue, a
block away to her apartment with the suspects following her. The child
ran to her Mother and began telling her about these two men. The Mother
walked outside and observed the truck parked in front of her building
with the suspects inside. Once the suspects saw the Mother they drove
off towards Gorman Avenue (Route 198 East).

The suspects are described as follows:

Two Hispanic males, both in their 20’s, operating a light blue Mazda
pickup truck, poor condition, dent on driver’s side fender, black bed
liner with registration number 41641W from an unknown State.
