On October 13, 2009 at 10:50 A.M.
Laurel Police Department received a call to check on the welfare of a
person whose family members were unable to contact him for days. Police
arrived and entered the victim’s residence in the 16000 block Dorset
Road found the subject lying on the floor, deceased.
An autopsy was performed yesterday and the results indicated the victim died from blunt force trauma to the head.

     The victim has been identified as Andrew Sparacino age 44. Police
believe this was not a random act. This is the first homicide in the
City of Laurel this year.
