            Mayor Craig A. Moe has declared that the City Snow Emergency and City State of Emergency will remain in effect until further notice.  Public Works is continuously working to clear the Snow Emergency routes, secondary streets, courts and storm drains.  Please be advised that beginning on Saturday, February 13, 2010, in the evening hours, Public Works will begin operations of removing snow on Main Street through the use of front loaders and residents along Main Street will need to remove their cars to help in this process.

            Also, trash and recycling pickup is being postponed until Tuesday, February 16, 2010 due to the closure of the Prince George’s County landfill. The current schedule for the upcoming week is Monday’s trash and recycling will be collected on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Tuesday’s trash and recycling will be collected on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. On Thursday, February 18, 2010, we will be back on the regular schedule and there will be no Special Pickups until further notice.
