     Mayor Craig A. Moe is encouraging citizens to participate in the City of Laurel’s Park Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 10, 2010. The day will begin at Riverfront Park with the annual Patuxent River Clean-Up. This event is co-sponsored by the Patuxent River Commission, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Volunteers wishing to participate should meet at Riverfront Park located at Avondale Street at 9:00 a.m.

     The afternoon park clean-up will take place at Granville Gude Park. Volunteers are encouraged to meet at the Lakehouse, 8300 Mulberry Street and the lake at 12:30 p.m. Student volunteer service hours will be approved at both sites. Please bring the forms with you. Appropriate dress is recommended. Trash bags and gloves will be provided at both locations. For additional information, please contact the Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation at 301-725-7800.
