The Blizzard of 2010 is but a memory…SUMMER 2010 is here! The Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation’s summer kick-off to festival season starts with its annual “LAKEFEST” celebration on Saturday, May 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Granville Gude Park & Lakehouse, 8300 Mulberry Street.  Bring the family and partake in many of the free events.  Hayrides, moon bounces, crafts, face painting and more.  Costume characters, “MUTTS GONE NUTS”,  D.J. Rick from Mac’s Karaoke, live wildlife display, Laurel Police Department K-9 demonstration, the “Joyful Motion Dancers” and “Dance  Happens” will provide a full day of free entertainment.  The pedal boats will be available for rental and lots of BBQ and festival food favorites will be available for purchase.  Call 301-725-7800 for more information.
